Cookies are small text files, like ID tags that are stored on your computer through your browser, keeping only information related to your preferences and not your personal data.
2 – What are cookies used for?
Cookies are used for a variety of things that help improve your online experience. They help determine the value, interest and the number of uses of our websites, allowing a faster and more efficient browsing, eliminating the need to repeatedly enter the same information.
3 – What type of cookies do we use?
There are two types of cookies that may be used.
Persistent Cookies- are cookies that are stored on your device’s browser (PC, mobile and tablet) and are used on subsequent visits to one of our websites. They are generally used to direct the navigation according to user interests, allowing us to provide a more personalized service and improve your online experience.
Session Cookies – are temporary cookies that only remain in the cookie file of your browser until you leave a website. The information obtained from these cookies is used to analyze traffic patterns on the Web, allowing us to identify problems and provide a better browsing experience.
Types of cookies
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies allow you to browse the website and use the applications/features as well as access secure areas of the website. Without these cookies, parts of the website would not function and services you may have requested can’t be provided.
These cookies are used anonymously for the purpose of analyzing and monitoring performance statistics, in order to improve the running of the website.
These cookies store user preferences regarding the use of the website, so that it is not necessary to configure the website each time you visit.
Third party Cookies
These cookies measure the success of applications and the effectiveness of third party advertising. They may also be used in order to customize a widget with the user data.
These cookies provide advertising based on the interests of each user, and limit the amount of times you see an ad, helping to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and website’s success.
4 - How to manage cookies?All web browsers allow the user to accept, block or delete cookies, by configuring your browser’s cookie settings. You can manage cookies on the menu "Options" or "Preferences" on your browser.
Please note, however, that disabling cookies may prevent some web services to work properly, affecting, partially or totally, browsing on the website. Disabling cookies does not grant any kind of anonymity nor prevents websites from monitoring your browsing habits.
How to manage cookies in Internet Explorer
To delete cookies in Internet Explorer, follow these steps:
1) Click "Tools" from the menu and then click "Internet options";
2) Click the "Privacy" tab;
3) Move the slider to the top to "Block all cookies".
How to manage cookies in Firefox
To delete cookies in Mozilla Firefox, follow these steps:
- Click "Tools" from the menu;
- Click "Options";
- Click on the "Privacy" option in the top panel;
- In the "Cookies" section, unselect the option "Accept cookies from sites";
- Click "OK" to save all changes and click "Close".
How to manage cookies in Chrome
- Click the “Customize and Control Google Chrome” icon;
- Click the “Tools” option;
- Click on “Clear browsing data”;
- In the “Obliterate the following items from” box, select the option “the beginning of time”;
- Select the first 4 options and click “Clear browsing data”.
How to manage cookies in Safari and iOS
- Click "Edit";
- Select "Preferences";
- In the top bar, select the "Security" icon;
- In the section "Accept Cookies", select "Never".
